He could be in the "T" car. Before "budget restrictions" F1 teams prepped and ran 3 cars each weekend. One for each driver and a Team car or T car as a backup for either driver.

I don't know much about the early 90's in F1 history, but after seeing the Senna documentary and the allegations against the Benetton team during that season, I don't think I could buy that if I had 20k lying around.
